Tom Manzi is a certified USA Triathlon, Level II Coach. Tom started coaching with Joe Friel in the mid 90's, and was the Director of Coaching for Joe Friel\'s Ultrafit Associates before Utlrafit became Training Bible Coaching.. Tom has been a coach of various sports including football and track and field at the high school level since 1970. His coaching emphasis in the last 5 years has focused on multisport endurance athletes ranging from novice triathletes and duathletes to elite amateur and professional athletes. These athletes hail from various regions of the US and Canada. Tom\'s mission is to inspire and energize his athletes to meet their personal goals and have fun while doing it. Goals for his clients range from improving overall fitness to the attainment of the top five places in both professional and elite categories of national and world championships.
Tom is also an age-group competitor in both triathlons and duathlons. He has won numerous awards in both local and regional races and has qualified for the USA Triathlon Age Group Championships every season since 1990. Tom has ranked as high as fifth in the USA Triathlon Mid-Atlantic age-group rankings. Tom has competed in over 200 triathlons since 1988. He completed five Ironman-distance races most notably the Hawaii Ironman.
Tom enjoys running, swimming, and cycling at his home at the Jersey Shore. This location allows for easy access to long ocean swims during the summer months. . Tom also owns a home in Southern Arizona, and spends six months of the year there, to continue training and coaching in the warmer climate of AZ.. Tom also conducts winter multisport training camps and clinics in Arizona and the Southwest in the winter and spring.
